wintec saddles

I’m getting a new saddle(old one from my lease horse doesnt fit my own horse). And im thinking of getting the Wintec 500 w/ CAIR. I’ve read reviews saying its a awesome saddle. But i need more info. Or i might get the western one instead. Im not sure yet.

I have ridden in wintec saddles before and I think they are okay. But I personally like the leather saddles. I think it’s great that wintecs have the changeable gullet system, though that can sometimes lead to a weak structure. They are great for a beginner, since they are so cheap for an english saddle. Though I would not get them.

Just depends on your personally style and comfort of a saddle. If you like snythetic english saddles, go for the wintec. But, if you have ridden in a leather english or western saddle, just compare the comfort of each saddle.

Good luck finding a new saddle!

The difference in the 200 and the 500. And the others I dont want to list. I’m being a wintec and dont know what this means
EDIT Im buying a wintec.

wintec 200 (btw, it’s a 250, not a 200)-
(review) http://www.horsetackreview.com/review-display/486.html
i owned this saddle at one time. it does not have the CAIR package because it is a slightly older model. but all in all, it is a decent beginner saddle.here is what wintec’s website has to say about it’s features: http://www.wintec.net.au/products/allPurpose/allPurpose250.html
wintec 500-
(review) http://www.horsetackreview.com/review-display/1245.html
i have never owned the 500, but i have ridden in it several times, and again, it seems like a nice saddle and does come with CAIR. here’s a list of features off of wintec’s website: http://www.wintec.net.au/products/allPurpose/allPurpose500.html

(this is just in case you were asking about the wintec 2000, and not the 250. rather safe then sorry)

wintec 2000-
(review) http://www.horsetackreview.com/review-display/1499.html again, i have never owned the 2000, but have ridden in it once, and i thought it was a very nice saddle. here’s the features on the wintec 2000: http://www.wintec.net.au/products/allPurpose/allPurpose2000.html

hope this helps, & good luck!

I have a Wintec 2000, and was wondering if u like that brand. and etc
This is my first saddle for my first horse, I only do lessons, and trails, and training my horse in this saddle. I plan on only doing little schooling shows in the saddle too

Anyone who says you "can’t" show in them is wrong, because there’s no rule against it. However, they do not look as nice as a nice leather saddle, and to me, they’re one of the uglier synthetic saddles out there. My first English saddle was a cheap synthetic saddle and I liked it fine–it rode well, was easy to take care of, and it really didn’t look that bad. Once my mother figured out that I’d stick with English (I grew up riding western), I eventually got a nicer saddle. But I did learn to ride in a synthetic, and it worked fine for that. However, if I was planning on showing at more than tiny little fun shows, I’d get a nicer saddle–I personally can’t stand the look of Wintecs. I’ve also heard bad things about how they fit the horse (and rider), but since I’ve never used one personally, I can’t vouch for that. I have heard good things, however, about the Wintec Dressage saddles.
