So I was looking for good places/websites to find the following:

New/Used but in really good condition Barrel Racing Saddle with these Requirements:

Must be a Billy Cook, Circle Y, Dakota, or other known brand name saddles.

15-1/2 inch – 16 inch Seat
4-5 inch cantle
Semi-QH Bars

My Budget is up to 700$ including shipping.

There is a tack shop about an hour from my house here in NC that sells Buffalo, Circle S, Showman and Billy Cook saddles. I have been shopping around online, comparing prices and theirs can’t be beat. I found a saddle that I like, but since I have ridden hunt seat my whole life and just switched to western, I am new to all this. Does this saddle look like a good buy for the money? I really like the way it looks. Is this a practical saddle for just hitting the trails and pleasure riding? Please help, I have ridden western before, but I’ve just never had to buy western tack. Thanks!

It looks pretty nice, though my advice would be to go to a store that sells that exact saddle and try it out…everyone is different and a saddle that may be comfy for one may be terrible for another…and really on a trail all your worried about is comfort : )

There are many brands in the market with different sizes and quality.One of my friend bought new English show saddle from http://www.saddleonline.com/ , when he used this new saddle he was impressed with the quality and comfort.I hope you also find the best saddle there.
