I have a Albion K2 dressage saddle, and I recently rode in my trainers albion saddle that had bigger knee blocks and I really liked it. Would it be possible to get bigger knee blocks put in without getting a new saddle?
Would any saddle fitter be able to do it locally or would it need to go to the manufacturer?
Yes, it is usually a simple and not-so-expensive fix. I got bigger knee blocks put on my Dressage saddle a few years ago, and it really wasn’t too difficult.
Contact a good Saddle Fitter or even a Custom Saddle Maker – a lot of barns will have one that they use who comes around every once and a while to pick up tack. It can, however, take a week or two depending on the Saddle Fitter’s schedule.
